Given an audio file containing children’s speech, keyword or phrase, the STT API will return a text transcription of the audio file.

Speech Verification

Verification is a speech solution designed specifically for children’s speech.

Given an audio file containing children’s speech, keyword or phrase, the verification API will return a detailed analysis of the target word or phrase. The API can also be called with multiple words or phrases, in which case it will return a detailed analysis of each target specified.

The SoapBox Labs Verification Platform has been tailored for those who are developing literacy aids and language learning products, multiple choice games, voice control products, or highly scripted or constrained conversations.

Fluency

SoapBox Labs' Fluency is a speech solution designed specifically for children’s speech and assesses children's reading skills in both formal and informal settings.

Given a text passage that the child has been asked to read, as well as an audio file containing children’s speech, the Fluency API will return an analysis of the audio file in reference to the text passage. Data points are returned detailing which words in the reference passage were read correctly, substituted for a different word, or omitted, as well as an indication where insertions occurred. The number of insertions, deletions, substitutions and correct words is returned, as well as the duration of the file, and a words correct per minute metric (WCPM) as well as other data points that enable the user to quantify reading ability
